Manila Hotel's Centennial Ball: Celebrating 100 Years of Filipino Hospitality and World Class Service

Hi lovelies, how's everyone been doing so far? I love the weather, it's the time wherein you go straight under your blankies and cuddle your soft pillows, not to mention, the perks of class suspensions :P Anyhow, a backlog of what happened during the Centennial Ball of Manila Hotel last July 04, I was one of the chosen by Tim Yap to get invites at the ball with my date Brian :) Attire for the ball was Filipiniana, imagine how I went hysterical on contemplating what to wear since I got a notice only a night before the ball itself, luckily I have my friend to the rescue and I was able to borrow her dress,( shout out to Jenny!).

Here's what took place on the event:

We were guided by an usherette to lead us to the hall, the pathway was too long and I really love the red carpet feel before entering the party crowd, the place was decorated with white cloths and gave its guests such a subtle refreshing vibe.

The Philippines' iconic Manila Hotel celebrates its centennial anniversary this year. The beautiful California- Missionary styled building designed by Architect William Parsons officially opened its doors on July 4, 1912. This first-class premiere accommodation was the first in the Philippines and was the choice of the affluent tourists who visited the country.

The hosts that made the Celebration Livelier: Angel Jacob & Marc Nelson

I love this Sorbet!
My favorite dish, the fish is so delicious!

After the dining proper, a toast was given by the owner and founder of Manila Hotel . There was a jam-packed of media capturing every moment of the said event. The ball also showcased different cultural dancers and served as a highlight of the party to dance the night away.

And as for me, Brian and my outfit, I wasn't able to capture much so please forgive me :) My feet was aching because I am wearing a 5-inch heel.

Again, thank you Manila Hotel and cheers to 100 years of Filipino Hospitality and World class service!

Meet up with my La Piadina winners & Frostings Cupcakes

After getting my chocolates at Villa del Conte at Trinoma, me and Brian went straight to The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf to meet my readers and the winners of my recent giveaway.

Francis Falucho, according to him, he is not a blogger but he enjoys joining giveaways of bloggers, lucky him, he won my giveaway :)

Ms. Carmen Watkins, she's super nice and an avid reader of my blog, super patient cause I wasn't able to give them their prize the soonest because of my crazy schedule. We had a little chit chat and handed her personally the Gift Certificates, she also has a gift for me, CUPCAKES! Awwww, at first I was so shy to accept it because I wasn't expecting it really, the yummy cupcakes from Frostings! Since Brian is a food reviewer/blogger, he saw the cupcakes right beside The Coffee Bean and he was able to take photos of these yummy cupcakes!

And here's what Ms. Carmen gave to me:

Yummy cuplets! I personally love all of these sweet babies, they're all creamy, not being biased, but hey, you should try it, they're not too sweet so I'm sure you'll crave for more :) Perfect as a gift for any occasion, or just some random sweet tummy filling. :)

Nice meeting you Francis and Ms. Carmen, continue to join my giveaways!

Sweet Treat: Villa Del Conte

See what Villa Del Conte can offer for your sweet tooth :)

Their free samples, who doesn't want one?

 Assorted Packaging, eye catchy! :)
My Cioccolato that I've won from the wonderwomanrises, a Piccolo box full of Assorted Chocolates, nomnom

It is in the Idyllic Rural Locale of Villa Del Conte in Padova, Italy where they create their Artisanal Chocolates. Much Like an heirloom, each recipe is passed on from  father to son. Nazzareno Cattapan bequeathed the Cioccolato legacy to his son Oreo Celestino who in turn passed it on to his son. Today, at the helm of the operations in the third generation Cioccolato Connoisseur Enrico Cattapan.

For 75 years now, Villa Del Conte have been making traditional fine chocolates handcrafted by their Artisans in their factory in Italy. With decades of experience in their craft, they make sure that premium ingredients go into each Cioccolatini so that ever bite is seeping with sumptuous flavors that only aunthentic, first grade chocolates can offer.

Me with my chocolates, oooh pardon for the look :p

I went to Trinoma with Brian to get my chocolates from them, I loved their concept, the homey colors of orange and the chocolates wrapped in colorful shiny foils. Mine was the Piccolo size, the smallest yet it costs already almost 500php

The chocolates melts in my mouth, I must say that the premium chocolates are intense in filling my sweet carving for chocolates. Though it's pricey, I'm sure, you can never go wrong with these sweet babies! :) My favorite would have to be the Praline Balls in Milk Chocolate with Caramel Cream Filling, I love Caramel so much that even in my iced coffee, it is my top choice!

Visit them at their stores: 3/F Trinoma, 2/F Greenbelt 5, 3/F Shangri-la Plaza Mall and G/F Resorts World Manila.

Thank you Villa Del Conte for these awesome treats!
