Caribbean Summer Footwear Event @ Red Mango

Warning Photoheavy :)

To tell you honestly, I've never heard about Caribbean Footwear. Maybe I've came across it. I thought this footwear was new to the market, but behold they were in the industry since 1995, well I guess for the longest time in the market, they have pioneered already in making comfortable footwear.

So when I had the chance to be introduced to this brand, I went to their bloggers event at Greenbelt 3 Red Mango last April 3. I arrived late because of the INEVITABLE traffic problems here in the metro. But I was able to catch almost all of it wink*

Tadaaah! Here it is, let me give you an analysis of the Caribbean Foot wear Anatomy:

The Toe Fashion: The balancing act of our toe is well supported by the footwear's structure without
compromising fashion and creativity.

The Strap at its Finest: Out cutting-edge technology has perfected the integration of comfort, durability and elegance in our strap - Caribbean's own invention.

I'm used to buying cheap slippers always. I've never even owned a pair of Havainas or even an Ipanema, but I was able to buy them for a friend as a gift, gosh, ang generous ko noh? Paano naman ang sarili ko? :( HAHA. But my sister has lots of it, too bad we don't have the same size, makikigamit sana ako.

Going back, the cheap slippers that I have, have one problem in common, the straps are the first to give up. Waste of money! But there are those who could tolerate the force but only a year I guess cause I'm very careful so as not to destroy them.

Team Caribbean said that the straps of the footwear are very durable and can withstand foot force, Meaning: Hindi basta basta masisira :) ENOUGH SAID.

The Mid-Foot Curve: Artistically formed to create proper foot formation and posture that will enhance endurance while walking or running.

I saw the structure and indeed, there are steep parts on the footwear. To support the shape of our feet. Cool right? :)

The Soul of our Sole!: Provides ultimate protection. Scientifically designed to mold one's sole to perfectly fit amidst mobility."

They also have this Anti-Slip Technology, so even if you have PASMADO feet, (sweaty feet), your foot won't slide up and down on this kind of foot wear :)

Oh, it's like a mix of interior, architecture, scientifically engineered Footwear. What more can you ask for? :)

Sir Francis and his companion giving us a brief info about Caribbean

Other bloggers that were busy tweeting, instagramming? Haha and taking photos :)

The Caribbean Urban Safari Summer Collection: Bold Prints, Vibrant Colors and Chic Neutrals

 and so much more!!

Of course, we also got our very own Caribbean Flops:

Although it's a bit strange that I didn't get the the design that I chose, even my seatmate did experience the same thing, Sir Francis was very kind to accommodate us to pick something that we like and have it exchanged, he said that he doesn't want me to go without the satisfaction, kind enough, so I chose this one:

Though this is not really my size, I chose this one because I'm more on the sleek looking classic Flops :)

Of course because it happened in Red Mango, we can order yoghurts, waffles, yoghurt  shakes as much as we can :) What a way to battle the hot weather!

Blueberry waffles, Peanut butter and Chocolate Chip waffles and Green Tea yoghurt w/ Cheesecake and Mango Toppings, yum**

Foursquare Philippines Day Event 4/16/13 @ SM Megamall

Foursquare,  a location-based social networking site for mobile devices where users “check-in” at places through smartphones, text message or apps, is coming up with a special holiday for Foursquare aficionados – the much-anticipated#4SqDay!

#4sqDay is all about community:reaching out to people through establishing business or personal relationships via social networking. #4sqDay or Foursquare Day is celebrated as a way of acknowledging the impact Foursquare has made in the lives of its users. With Foursquare, distance and differences are conquered, taking social networking to a whole new level.

Foursquare Day activities vary in each locality. While some choose to celebrate the day through get-togethers and/or lectures, others do it the Foursquare way – a check-in.In the Philippines, however, a grand, global celebration is brewing.

Now here's the exciting part :))

Aside from the meet and greet of Foursquare Superusers, this year’s festivities will even be bigger as Foursquare Philippines partner with SM Cinema’s e-PLUS along with SM Megamall, Starmobile and Papa John’s Pizza. Expect an afternoon of fun-filled activities on April 16 at SM Megamall Atrium. For exclusive treats, make sure you unlock the #4sqDay 2013 official badge to get your own swags from Foursquare and a treat from Papa John’s Pizza.

Here's the mechanics:

The first 200 who will present the #4sqDay 2013 badge at the event will be entitled to a treat from Papa John’s Pizza and the first 100 will be given limited edition Foursquare Day 2013 swag.

e-PLUS will be raffling off flip cameras to lucky Foursquare Day attendees while Starmobile will be giving away a mobile phone.

The Foursquare Day Philippine leg is made possible by SM Megamall, Starmobile, Papa John’s Pizza and e-PLUS card—your most convenient access to the movies.

First BDJ Beauty Box Social Event

Hey girls and boys!!

It's been a long time since I last posted, imagine, last August pa ung last post ko, damn, I thought that my period of absence was somehow short but I counted the months and gosh, napag lipasan na ako ng 2012 (end of the world daw) :)

Anyways, back to business, don't know how I am going to keep up with my blog or if spontaneous ako ulit mag blog post but since i'm free, I mean I have a lot of time to post random stuffs since I'm having my internship lang naman, so there.. (guys taglish muna ako today ha? c: )

I had the opportunity to go to the first ever BDJ (Belle de Jour) Social Box Event at SM MOA Atrium last March 24. To those who doesn't know, BDJ Beauty Box is a monthly subscription beauty box wherein 5-6 beauty samples are in store for you, sometimes you can get the samples in FULL size for the price of LESS than 500php monthly, and the best thing is it's a surprise, you'll only get to know what's inside of the box if it is already delivered into your door step :) Cool right?

So here's what took place:

I arrived there past 2pm, still early for my pre-registered talk which will start at 5 and 6pm. I invited my friend to the event, don't worry, she pre-registered din :) She arrived earlier than me so when I got there, I met up with her.

So before my talk, I got to roam around the booths and here is the Browhaus and Strip ministry of waxing booth. I was asked if I wanted to have threading for the upper lip, I said no thanks! Haha, just the thought of undergoing that pain, didn't bother to try it since I really have no hair in my upper lip.

Here is my friend Chelsea, she is a beauty blogger, she tried the threading, it's painful but tolerable naman daw :) She super liked it though super fine lang ng hair nea sa upper lip, natanggal pa din :) She saw the difference, happy for you Chels!

These were some of the booths that were present, others gave samples and make-up brands like Revlon did make-up tutorials.

Had my picture taken at the photo booth :)

He's my idol haha, he looks like Archie from the comics, or kasi blonde lang hair nea? :) Me and Chelsea asked for answers in our beauty problems, syempre kasama na ung picture taking :)

Trivia: I learned it from sir Archie Tolentino, make-up artist of Maybelline, the word "Maybelline" came from the owner's sister which is Maybel and Vaseline, so there, "Maybelline", if I heard it right.

How to get that bridal Glow with make-up artist Lilian Yeung of Estee Lauder, there was this portion na when you ask beauty questions at the end of the demonstration you get a token, I was given a small paper bag from Estee make-up, pampa-puno din ng make-up kit ;)

And lastly, my favorite talk with the beautiful Bianca Valerio, ang cool lang nea and I super enjoyed her tricks and techniques, not boring and naka smile ka lang habang nakikinig sa kanya. She was supposed to do a demo pero  some mishap happened to her before she got to this event because her driver accidentally dropped her make-up kit, which means, they're all shattered and broken :( She was crying daw but she recovered naman so instead of doing a day to night glam look, she answered our beauty queries na lang.

Oh, siya pala ung may ari ng Leg Love sa SM Dept. Stores ;) She also has a make-up line under a Tupperware brand which is Colours :)

My BDJ Beauty Box Event Passport :)

My Estee Lauder Token, thanks Ms. Lilian for picking me :)

Here's what's inside the loot bag :)

I had fun, new beauty tricks and techniques learned, till the next event BDJ ;)

Oh, by the way, I heard that Google Reader is shutting down, it means that I will lose all my followers here in Blogspot, darn it! But you guys could follow me on Bloglovin, I transferred my blogs there but you could still read it here, I'd appreciate if you could follow it! Please do tell me so I can follow you back!

El Buono: Asia's Largest and Finest Pizza

Pizzas would have to be one of my favorite comfort foods. Now how does one find wonders through a bread topped with tomato sauce, cheese and toppings? Simply because it's plain love for pizza :) Me and Brian were invited by Khaezel of Openrice to try out a  pizza chain located along Sct. Rallos St. Tomas Morato way back. So after the long lines of students enrolling for the first semester last June, I gave in to the invitation since I can't stop my love for pizzas ;)

El Buono Pizza is the Asia's Finest and World's biggest pizza. They are the only ones who can bake it WHOLE and deliver it. They can make a whopping "65-inch" pizza that can serve a lot of people. Now you might be wondering how they do it but can you just imagine how El Buono actually deliver it right in front of your doorstep?

They served us a "36-inch" pizza, to my amazement, it really is big and can feed a lot of hungry mouths. This pizza costs 1988Php and has four different flavors: Le Verdure, Margherita, El Buono Special and Hawaiian. I love how it tasted, it's my first time actually to compliment a pizza. The crust was so soft, the secret behind it is the crust is freshly baked, that's why! You guys should try it to know exactly what I mean. :)

They also served us Spaghetti Bolognese and fried chicken, nothing special with the pasta but I loved their chicken, maybe some of the diners will take the chicken to be ordinary, but for a fried-chicken lover like me, I must say, it's a must!

I find these large jars filled with special drinks very coool. I really like the out of the box idea. At first I thought that it was for sharing, but the one openricer told me that it's good for one, that's a lot to drink. Originally, these drinks were contained in a fishbowl, but changed it into flower jars, cool huh? ;)

enjoying my juice jar**

Do you know what this is?
   Beer Pong table
Khaezel and Brian enjoying the game

This pizza restaurant is so BIG, that they can put up with multiple Beer Pong tables. Actually it was my first time to hear such game wherein you throw a ball and shoot it at the other end of the table where your opponent is guarding his beer cups and once you shoot the pong into their cups, you let your opponent drink the cup containing a beer. I bet you guys who wants to have some fun, while drinking beer can actually enjoy this game. I don't drink beer so I'll pass for this game ;)

Another striking pose, I love to goof with my camera, kudos to Khaezel! :))
Happy tummy :))

Thanks El Buono and Openrice! Now if you wanna treat your taste buds into something tummy filling, try this mouth-watering pizza. Located at  #61 Scout Rallos St., corner Tomas Morato St., Quezon City OR dial them up at (02)-409-4588/791-8647.

Accentuate It

Wore a very simple top and pants, accentuated it with the use of my bright-colored accessories:

Got the top the day before the event at SM Sta. Mesa's 3-DAY SALE at Juana, it's so simple and classic, not to mention light and comfy :) Everyone would surely love the delicate details of this top. Since I'm the type of gal who would sport anything as long as it is chic and classy. Juana is such a great store, my mom loves to shop at Juana because it caters to women who are working and those who just wanted to be in trend, that's where I came to know the brand, because of my mom's love for Juana. It has a lot of corporate attire blouses and so much more!

Top: Juana | Pants: Bench | Shoes: So Fab! | bracelet: Landmark |
| rings: random | Bag:gifted | Necklace: cheapfashionfinds

Since I don't have the powers to edit these pictures except for the first 2 pics, might as well forgive me ;) This goes to all plus-size ladies to carry themselves and be confident. I for once have my own  insecurities which I cannot drop for goodness sake, I am not that fair and I have a different body type, but believing in yourself is the key :) Loving yourself is a breakthrough to all those insecurities, so be confident, Keep calm and carry on! :)

Speaking of keeping calm, I am so thankful that the Philippines has survived yet another calamity. It's a heartfelt moment wherein every Filipinos are lending their hands to one another. It employs the "Bayanihan" in each and everyone of us. Suffice to say, I am proud to be a Filipino, which keeps my spirit alive. Everything will be alright, there will always be hope and I'm sure that we Filipinos can face any storm that will come. Prayer is the key. There will be always a brighter tomorrow that awaits us. Be strong and carry on :)
